Contemporary Pop writer/artist Ariel Thiermann was born on the top floor of a big blue house in Santa Cruz, Ca. where she began singing almost before she could talk. The daughter of well known A&M children's recording artist-Linda Arnold, she toured the country with her mom discovering along the way how music could reach even the youngest heart. As she grew, so did her depth and range. With the a cappella trio Mayim, she adopted vocal styles from around the globe blending them together, creating breathtaking musical tapestries that stand the test of time. As a solo artist, Thiermann's songs are vulnerable and brave. Her voice is "a rich, tuneful and expressive instrument that propels the listener in to the realm of divine possibilities."- Adrienne Rogers. Ariel's pop world view challenges us to discover the shining parts of ourselves-our strengths, our weaknesses-and always our truth. With influences ranging from Joni Mitchell and Laura Nyro to Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel, Ariel's musical language is raw and passionate. Ariel has released two solo cds, "My Art is a Bird" and "Behold." She is currently living in Los Angeles, writing and recording a new album of songs. |
